Govt transfers 20 additional secretaries

DHAKA, April 26, 2026 (BSS) - The government today transferred 20 additional secretaries as part of the administration reshuffle to strengthen administrative activities across the country.

“The transfer orders will come into effect immediately,” according to the notifications.

The public administration ministry issued all 20 notifications in this regard signed by deputy secretary Mohammad Noor-e-Alam. 

According to notifications, additional secretary Muhammad Jashim Uddin Khan has been transferred to the directorate general of food as director general, while additional secretary Md Asaduzzaman has been appointed as director general of the Wage Earners' Welfare Board.

Additional secretary MM Arif Pasha has been transferred to the Department of Agricultural Marketing (DAM) as director general, additional secretary Md Shafiqul Islam to Bangladesh Food Safety Authority as chairman, additional secretary Hasan Mahmood to office of the Registrar General, Birth and Death Registration as registrar general, additional secretary Mohammad Habibur Rahman to National Housing Authority as chairman, additional secretary Dil Afroza to Nursing and Midwifery Department as director general, additional secretary Abul Hasnat Muhammad Anwar Pasha to National Identity Card Registration Department as director general, Additional Secretary Kazi Mohammad Saiful Islam to Informal Education Bureau as director general, Additional Secretary Raja Md Abdul Hye to Non-Government Teachers Registration and Certification Authority, as chairman, Additional Secretary Md Abdullah Al-Mamun to Jatio Muktijoddha Council (Jamuka) as director general, Additional Secretary Khandkar Anwar Hossain to National Institute of Youth Development as Director General, Additional Secretary Dr Delwar Hossain to Governance Innovation Unit under the Prime Minister’s Office, as Director General and others to different ministries and divisions.
