"The initiative is being considered with the highest priority given to healthcare services. Farmer cards and family cards have already been distributed as part of the implementation of electoral pledges," he said while inaugurating child health awareness campaign at Arankhola Union Parishad premises in Madhupur upazila of Tangail.

The campaign, organised by the Child Health Awareness Foundation, focused on raising awareness about congenital cleft lip and palate.

The minister said special monitoring of hospitals across the country would be strengthened to ensure quality healthcare for all. Quoting the Prime Minister, he said, "Healthcare services must be delivered to the doorsteps of the people. For this, the concerned officials must go to the people."

Free medical services were provided at the programme and medicines were distributed among the patients.

The minister's wife, Dr Reshma Anam, served as the coordinator of the health camp.

Madhupur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Jubayer Hossain, Dr Aslamul Islam Rudra, assistant secretary for human rights affairs of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), local political leaders and other concerned persons were present at the event.
