Tanisha secures 3rd place in primary education contest

FARIDPUR, June 22, 2026 (BSS) - Meherima Alam Tanisha, a third-grade student of No-1 Ishan Gopalpur Government Primary School in Sadar upazila, has secured third place in the Solo Acting category at the National Primary Education Medal Competition 2026.

The award ceremony was held at the Directorate of Primary Education in Dhaka on June 16, where State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj presented Tanisha with a medal and certificate in recognition of her achievement.

Tanisha's success has brought immense joy to her school, family, and the local community. Her teachers said that she had shown remarkable interest and talent in cultural activities from an early age. Through regular practice, dedication, and perseverance, she was able to achieve this national-level recognition.

Tanisha's father, Mehbub Alam Liton, works as a stenographer at the Department of Cooperatives, while her mother, Kaniz Fatema, serves as an assistant teacher at No. 1 Ishan Gopalpur Government Primary School.

Teachers, students, guardians, and local residents have congratulated Tanisha on her outstanding achievement and wished her a bright future. Concerned individuals believe that her accomplishment is also a matter of pride for Faridpur district.
