121 more dengue patients hospitalized

DHAKA, June 23, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 121 more dengue patients were 
admitted to different hospitals across the country in the past 24 hours, 
according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Among the newly-hospitalized patients, 41 were from Barishal division, 17 
from Chattogram division, 10 from Dhaka division (Outside the City 
Corporation), 17 from Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 16 from Dhaka 
South City Corporation (DSCC), 12 from Khulna division and eight from 
Rajshahi division.

During the period, 108 dengue patients were discharged from various hospitals 
after recovery, raising the total number of recoveries to 4,800 this year.

The country has recorded 5,160 dengue cases, so far, this year. Of the total 
patients, 62.5 percent are male and 37.5 percent female.

A total of 10 deaths from dengue have been reported, so far, this year, the 
release added.

In 2025, Bangladesh recorded 102,861 dengue cases and 413 deaths, while 
101,214 people were infected and 575 died from the mosquito-borne disease in 
2024.
