17 MoUs signed during Tarique Rahman’s visit to China: PMO spokesman

BEIJING, June 26, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 17 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) have been signed during Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s visit to China, according to Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) spokesperson Mahdi Amin.

Speaking at a press conference at the conference hall of the Diaoyutai Hotel this afternoon, he said of these, 13 were signed between ministries of the two governments in the presence of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and the Premier of China.

In addition, three MoUs were signed between the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and various stakeholders in China and one MoU was signed on a political party-to-political party basis, he mentioned.

Ruling parties of the both courtiers Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) signed the MoUs, he added.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman arrived in China on Monday night at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang. During the first part of his visit, he attended the World Economic Forum’s Summer Davos in Dalian. 

On Wednesday night, he arrived in Beijing from Dalian by high-speed bullet train.

Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir and Deputy Press Secretary 
Jahidul Islam Rony were also present at the press conference.
