139 dengue affected hospitalized in 24 hours

DHAKA, July 4, 2026 (BSS) – A total of 139   people were admitted to hospitals across the country with dengue during the past 24 hours.

According to the latest DGHS statement, of the newly hospitalised patients, 30 were admitted in Barishal Division (outside the city corporation areas), 16 in Chattogram Division (outside the city corporation areas), 23 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 27 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 11 in Mymensingh Division (outside the city corporation areas), 25 in Khulna Division (outside the city corporation areas) and seven in Rajshahi division (outside the city corporation areas).

So far this year, a total of 6,597 people have been infected with dengue.

During the same period , 141 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals, raising the total number of recoveries this year to 6,130.

No death was reported in the meantime keeping the death toll from the disease this year stands at 19.
In 2025, a total of 102,861 dengue cases were recorded with 413 death records from this infection.
