
CHATTOGRAM, July 12, 2026 (BSS) - Anindya Islam Amit, state minister for power, energy and mineral resources, distributed relief to the flood-affected residents of Chandgaon C&B, Mohra, and South Kattli areas here today.
During this initiative, dry food, rice, pulses, oil, purified water, and other essential items were distributed to the flood-affected people.
The State Minister, accompanied by Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain, MP Ershad Ullah, and MP Sayed Al Noman, visited the flood-affected areas and delivered food and necessary relief supplies to the families in need.
While visiting, the State Minister toured the homes of the affected individuals, inquiring about their well-being and discussing the hardships caused by the flooding and waterlogging with local residents. He also directed the relevant administration to provide the necessary support.
"In accordance with the humanitarian policy set forth by the Prime Minister, all government agencies, local administrations, and public representatives are collaborating effectively.
No affected family will be left without assistance. We will continue to provide essential food, clean water, medicines, and other forms of support," Amit stated.
City Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain said that every relevant department of the corporation is tirelessly working on the ground. This effort will persist until the situation returns to normal.
Senior officials from the administration, political leaders, and members of various social and voluntary organizations were present during this effort.
