HSC, equivalent exams to go on across country except Chattogram Board

DHAKA, July 12, 2026 (BSS) – The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations scheduled for July 13, 15 and 16 have been postponed under the Chattogram Education Board and the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board and Bangladesh Technical Education Board in areas under its jurisdiction.

However, the examinations under all other general education boards, as well as the Madrasah and Technical Education Boards outside the Chattogram Board's jurisdiction, will be held as per scheduled.

The information was disclosed in a press release issued today by the Chairman of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board and President of the   Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee,   Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman.

According to the release, HSC and equivalent examinations under the Dhaka, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Jashore, Sylhet, Barishal, Dinajpur and Mymensingh education boards, along with the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, excluding districts under the Chattogram Education Board, will continue according to the previously announced schedule until further notice.

The release said that, as decided earlier, the HSC and equivalent examinations under the Chattogram Education Board, covering all districts under its jurisdiction, as well as Alim, HSC (BMT), HSC (Vocational) and Diploma in Commerce examinations conducted by the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board in those districts, will remain suspended on July 13, 15 and 16 respectively.
