DMP arrests 107 in coordinated operations across six police stations

DHAKA, July 12, 2026 (BSS) - Police arrested a total of 107 people in separate operations conducted across several police station areas in the capital on Saturday (11 July) as part of its ongoing drive against crime.

According to DMP, 66 suspects were arrested in operations carried out by the Tejgaon Division in crime-prone areas. 

The arrests included 30 from Mohammadpur Police Station, 12 from Adabar, nine from Tejgaon, seven from Tejgaon Industrial Area, and four each from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar and Hatirjheel police stations.

In a separate operation, police arrested 41 people from the Jatrabari, Uttara West and Turag police station areas. 


The detainees were held in connection with regular criminal cases, outstanding warrants and under provisions of the DMP Ordinance. 

Police said the coordinated operations targeted individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities as part of routine efforts to maintain law and order across the capital.

All those arrested have been produced before the courts, while DMP said similar anti-crime operations will continue in the coming days to ensure public safety and security.
