Quadruple murder case will be tried speedily: Dulu

RANGPUR, Sept 5, 2026 (BSS) - Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu, MP, said that the quadruple murder case of Rangpur will be tried quickly to establish justice by submitting  charge sheet in a short time. 
 
“The murders of four members of the same family are a major incident in the history of Rangpur. We hope the investigating agency will be able to file a charge sheet soon through completing the investigation for starting  the trial process as early as possible,” he said.

He told this to local reporters after arriving at Rangpur Medical College and Hospital (RpMCH) on Saturday to lay the foundation stone of the Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit's service building and attend a meeting of the hospital's management committee.
 
Responding to a question, the minister said that it is most important to bring the real culprits involved in the quadruple murders under the law through a fair investigation. 
 
“That is why the administration is taking some time to investigate,” he said. 
 
Rangpur Development Authority Chairman Md Samsuzzaman Samu, Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md Shahidul Islam, RpMCH Director Brigadier General Md Ashiqur Rahman and Rangpur Medical College Principal Professor Dr Md Anwar Hossain, among others, were present.
