Shilpakala to organize masterclasses on filmmaking for film students

DHAKA, Sept 7, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, for the first time in the country, is set to organise four masterclasses on filmmaking for young filmmakers and students.

Four contemporary and acclaimed Bangladeshi filmmakers will serve as instructors in the programme.

The sessions will be held on September 11, 12, 13 and 28 at the seminar room of the National Theatre Hall of the Academy.

Students of film departments at universities across the country and young filmmakers will be able to participate in the masterclasses free of cost.

Each masterclass will be a one-day programme, with the four filmmakers conducting the sessions on four separate days.

The instructors will be film directors Rayhan Rafi, Tanim Noor, Mezbaur Rahman Sumon, and Mohammad Tawquir Islam.
