DHAKA, Sept 7, 2026 (BSS) - Police arrested 56 people in a special drive across different areas under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Tejgaon division on Sunday.

The arrests were made from crime-prone areas under six police stations as part of a drive against people allegedly involved in criminal activities, according to the Tejgaon division.

Of the 56 arrested, 15 were from Tejgaon Police Station, 14 from Mohammadpur, 15 from Adabor, six from Hatirjheel, five from Tejgaon Industrial Area and one from Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.

The arrested individuals were subsequently produced before the court.
