
DHAKA, Sept 7, 2026 (BSS)- Narayanganj district emerged champions in the boys' category, while Narail district clinched the girls' title in the 30th National Junior Wrestling Championship that concluded at national roller skating complex in the capital today (Monday).
In the boys' category, champions Narayanganj won four medals, including three gold and one bronze. First runners-up Narail secured two medals — one gold and one silver — while second runners-up Khulna won five medals, including one gold and four bronzes.
In the girls' category, Narail dominated the competition, winning seven medals — five golds, one silver and one bronze — to claim the championship title.
First runners-up Kurigram district won three medals, including one gold, one silver and one bronze, while second runners-up Rangpur district also bagged three medals — one gold and two bronzes.
Bangladesh Amateur Wrestling Federation President Major General A S M Ridwanur Rahman attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest in the two-day meet and distributed prizes among the winners.
