14 dengue patients hospitalised in 24hrs

DHAKA, May 11, 2025 (BSS)- A total of 14 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the past 24 hours.

Of the new cases, three patients were hospitalized in Barishal division, three in Chattogram, three in Dhaka division, three in Dhaka North City Corporation, and two in Dhaka South City Corporation, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a press release today.

With the latest figures, the total number of dengue cases in the country this year has risen to 2,986. So far, 21 deaths from the mosquito-borne disease have been reported in 2025.

During the same 24-hour period, 27 patients were released after receiving treatment.
According to DGHS data, Bangladesh recorded 101,214 dengue cases and 575 deaths in 2024.
