RAJSHAHI, July 14, 2026 (BSS)- The Rajshahi Zila Parishad has extended financial assistance to student Atikul Hasan to ensure his participation at the Dhaka level, after he achieved commendable success in the karate event of the 'Notun Kuri Sports-2026' competition organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Today, at the Zila Parishad Administrator's Office, Rajshahi Zila Parishad Administrator Advocate Ershad Ali (Esha) handed over the financial grant to student Atikul Hasan.

Atikul is an eighth-grade student at Rajshahi Adarsha High School. He secured first place at both the district and divisional levels in the karate competition of Notun Kuri Sports-2026 and was selected to participate at the Dhaka level.

However, he faced financial hardship due to his inability to afford the necessary karate kit. After learning of the matter, the Zila Parishad Administrator provided the grant to support his participation and preparation for the Dhaka level.

On the occasion, the administrator of Zila Parishad said, "It is our responsibility to stand beside talented and gifted students."

"Sports-oriented students like Atikul are the future of the country. I hope he will achieve success at the national level as well and bring honor to Rajshahi and Bangladesh," he added.
