Journalists to exchange views with FBI, Scotland Yard: CID

DHAKA, Jan 28, 2025 (BSS) - Criminal Investigation Department (CID) will arrange view exchange meetings between journalists and the international intelligence agencies such as FBI and Scotland Yard.

Additional Inspector General of Police (IGP) and CID Chief Matiur Rahman Sheikh informed this here today when a delegation of the newly elected executive committee of Bangladesh Crime Reporters’ Association (CRAB) held a courtesy meeting with the agency at its Malibagh headquarters here.

During the meeting, the CID Chief said that CID is interested in arranging seminars and workshops to exchange views with the journalists, said a CRAB press release.

He also said that he will arrange short meetings for CRAB members with the visiting international intelligence agencies in Bangladesh.

DIG (Administration) Gazi Jasim, Additional DIG Amir Zafar, Superintendent of Police Minhajul Islam and Jasim Uddin, among others, were present.

On the other hand, CRAB, Vice President Umar Farooq Al Hadi, General Secretary MM Badshah, Joint Secretary Niaz Ahmed Labu, Finance Secretary Aminul Islam, and Organizing Secretary Sajjad Mahmud Khan, among others were present.
