MAGURA, Jan 30, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has stressed the need for implementation of the 31-point reform charter of his party to rebuild the country destroyed over the last 15 years.

“The fascist Awami League government destroyed the country in the last 15 years. So, we have floated 31-point reform plan for restructuring the country,” he said.

He was virtually addressing a training workshop from London on the party’s 31-point reform agenda organized by the BNP Central Training Committee at the Magura auditorium here.

Leaders and activists of BNP and its front organizations of Magura, Chuadanga, Meherpur and Kushtia district chapters took part in the workshop.

The multiple reform commissions formed by the interim government have submitted their reports with suggestions mostly included in the 31-point reform agenda of BNP, he said.

Tarique Rahman said those who clung to power illegally using arms power for the last 15 years have fled the country.

“So, the people of the country want to place their trust in BNP. Any leader and activist who will try to damage this trust will be expelled from the party,” he warned.

Tarique Rahman said if the BNP is voted to power, they will award the countrymen a bicameral parliament alongside introducing the provision of allowing a person to hold the office of the prime minister not more than two times.

BNP chairperson’s adviser Ismail Jabiullah, central training affairs secretary ABM Mosharraf Hossain, assistant training secretary Rehana Akhter Ranu, Krishak Dal joint secretary Mahmuda Habiba, former Chhatra Dal president Fazlur Rahman Khokon, former Chhatra Dal general secretary Iqbal Hossain Shyamal and Anidra Islam Amit, among others, attended the workshop.
