If interim govt fails, BNP-people will fail too: Barrister Khokon

NOAKHALI, Feb 1, 2025 (BSS) - BNP chairperson's adviser and president of the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon today said the BNP has supported the interim government with many hopes and if it fails, the BNP and the country's people will fail also.

He was addressing the 'Winter Clothes Distribution' ceremony as the chief guest at Sonaimuri High School ground in Noakhali, organized by Jatiyabadi Swechchhasebak Dal this morning. 

He expressed anger over the interim government's different issues, including not coming down the price of essential items even after six months of the incumbent government's in office and shortages of textbooks.

Barrister Khokon demanded exemplary punishment to those who have looted people's money over the last 15 years. 

About the election, he said if the election is delayed, the cohorts of the dictatorship will create anarchy in the country again because they have a lot of ill-gotten money. 

Sonaimuri Upazila BNP member secretary Didar Hossain and municipal BNP convener Motaher Hossain Manik, among others, were also present on the occasion.
