Educational equipments distributed on behalf of Tarique Rahman

DHAKA, Feb 01, 2025 (BSS)- Educational equipments have been distributed to three meritorious students on behalf of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman at Rajshahi and Natore districts today.

BNP Health Affairs Secretary Dr Rafiqul Islam handed over the equipments to them.

The students are Prarthona Khatun, a student of Rajshahi Medical College, Md Nirob Ali of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Boishakhi of Rangpur Medical College.

At first, Rafiqul visited Pararthona’s house at Kazipara village in Lalpur upazila of Natore district and handed over one set medical books, one set skeleton, apron and financial assistance.

Later, he visited the houses of Nirob Ali of Charghat upazila and Boishakhi of Bagha upazila of Rajshai district and handed over medical books, skeletons, aprons and financial assistance on behalf of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

During the distribution of educational materials, Dr Rafiqul said   an effort is on to ban student politics   in many educational institutions, including different medical colleges. As part of pre planned agenda a vested quarter is out to distract the Gen-Z generation from student politics, he added. 

However, he said, the Gen-Z was the major driving force  for the biggest political changes in the history of Bangladesh.

He said the role of student politics in every important turning point, including language movement in 1952, the great Liberation War in 1971, anti-autocracy movement in 1990 and July-August Uprising in 2024 which  ushered new chapters in the history of Bangladesh.
