DHAKA, Feb 2, 2025 (BSS) - The maiden meeting of the new broad of directors of the national news agency, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), was held today at its headquarters here.
Presided over by Board Chairman and Joint Editor of the Daily Ittefaq Anwar Aldin, the meeting was also attended by Riasat Al Wasif, Md Jasim Uddin Khan, Mohammad Rafikul Alam, Nizamul Kabir, Mokarram Hossain, Shirin Bharasa, Fakrul Alam Kanchan, Nure Alam Masud and Md Fazlul Huq.
BSS Managing Director and Chief Editor Mahbub Morshed, who is holding the position to the member-secretary of the BSS board by virtue, also attended the meeting.
The government in line with the Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha Act-2018 formed the 13-member board of directors of the national news agency for the next three years on November 10, 2024.
