Travel ban imposed on S Alam's brother-in-law Arshad

DHAKA, Feb 3, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today imposed a travel ban on S Alam 
group owner Mohammed Saiful Alam alias S Alam's brother-in-law and Armanda 
Spinning Mills owner Mohammad Arshad.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Zakir Hossain Galib 
passed the order allowing a petition of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The ACC in its plea said Md Arshad looted Taka a couple of hundred crore from 
different institutions and kept those under his possession. He invested the 
money in factories owned by his wife and laundered the money abroad.

He is also accused of amassing huge illegal wealth in his own and his family 
members' names.
