DMP arrests 23 in anti-drug drives in capital

DHAKA, Feb 4, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested 23
people and recovered huge narcotics from different areas of the capital
during the several anti-drug drives.

A DMP media release today said police recovered 13.895 kilograms of ganja,
15,239 pieces of yaba tablets and 10 pieces of Tapentadol tablets from their
possession during the raids.

As part of the DMP's regular anti-drug drives, they were arrested and
recovered narcotics in various police stations of the capital from 6am on
Monday to 6am today.

A total of 17 cases have been filed against the arrested people under the
Narcotics Control Act at the relevant police stations.
