DHAKA, Feb 5, 2025 (BSS) –The Rapid Action Battalion in a drive last night arrested Jahirul Islam Bipul, prime accused in the murder case of Shahadat of Mohammadpur area in the capital from Arshinagar of Keraniganj police station 

“Based on secret information, a team of RAB-2 arrested the accused last night from Keraniganj area,” Assistant Police Super (ASP) and Assistant Director (Media) of RAB Khan Asif Tapu confirmed the news.

Victim Md Shahadat was an employee of a glasses (spectacles) factory came under the attack of the miscreants on the street of Katashur Giringi Housing area under Mohammadpur Police Station while he was returning his home on September 18, 2024, police and hospital sources said.

Bipul along with cohorts stabbed him indiscriminately with sharp weapon leaving him serious injured.

The locals rescued him and rushed him to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Later, deceased father filed a case with Mohammadpur police station.
