Shamsuzzaman Dudu calls for upholding unity of Aug 5

DHAKA, Feb 5, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Vice-Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu today called for upholding the unity of August 5 movement against fascism to save Bangladesh.

"The dictator Hasina and her cohorts are plotting various conspiracies to destabilize Bangladesh. Being vigilant, we have to uphold the unity that was established on August 5," he said.

The BNP leader was addressing a civic rally organized by the 'Desh Bachao, Manush Bachao Andolon (Save the Country, Save the People Movement)' in front of the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) here.

Shamsuzzaman Dudu urged all including the pro-democratic political parties and BNP leaders and activists to remain united as the conspiracies of the fascists will become stronger if all are divided and go against national unity.
      
"No matter how vigilant the people of the country are, if the government is not vigilant, the power of the allies of fascism will increase and destroy the potential of Bangladesh," he added.

'Desh Bachao, Manush Bachao Andolon President KM Rakibul Islam Ripon Presided over the rally while Nagorik Oikya President Mahmudur Rahman Manna and BNP Executive Committee Member Mainul Islam also spoke, among others, on the occasion.
