Parwar calls for building discrimination-free equitable state

KHULNA, March 8, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar called for building discrimination-free just, humane and equitable state.

He came up with the call at an Iftar and Dua Mahfil organized by Khulna City Unit Jamaat-e-Islami at a hotel here on Friday evening.

Parwar, also an ex-parliament member, said Ramadan is the month of achieving taqwa and purifying the soul.

However, during this month, many traders take advantage of the situation and deceive people that can't be a good behavior of a true believer, he said.

He emphasized further focusing on worship and charity during Ramadan, avoiding indecent and deceitful behaviour, and ensuring the rights of underprivileged people.

Parwar further said may Almighty Allah accept the sacrifices of those who have lost their lives or been injured in the struggle for the rights of the people of Bangladesh.

Central Majlis-e-Shura Member and Ameer of the city unit Jamaat-e-Islami Professor Mahfuzur Rahman presided over the event.

Central Organising Secretary Abdul Khalek, and the Executive Member Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, addressed as special guests.
