Drug dealer held in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, March 8, 2025 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested a
drug dealer with 80 pieces of Yaba tablets from Paiksa area of Sreenagar
upazila in the district on Friday.

The arrested was identified as Md Akbar, 30, son of Md Hafez Miah, hailed
from Dakshin Paiksa village of Sreenagar upazila.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the RAB-10 conducted a drive in the area and
nabbed Akbar along with the contraband drugs, said Senior Assistant
Superintendent of Police Tapas Karmakar of RAB-10 today.

According to the RAB, he had been collecting drugs from different border
areas of the country for long and supplying those to different parts of the
country including Munshiganj.

A case has been filed against the arrestee with Sreenagar Police Station.
