DHAKA, Mar 9, 2025 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested four dacoits including their ringleader from the capital’s Mohammadpur area.

The arrestees were identified as the ring leader Md. Billu Mia, 35, and his three accomplices Abu Zaher, 30, Al Amin alias Patha Al Amin, 20, and Md. Alamgir, 32, said a media release of RAB today.

Acting on tip-off, a team of RAB-2 conducted raid in Mohammadpur areas and rounded up the dacoits Saturday night.

All are the active member of robbing and snatching gang, and used to rob people by identifying themselves as RAB personnel, the release noted.
    
The RAB also recovered firearms and a looted CNG from the arrestees’ possession. The firearms include one revolver, one pipe gun, five rounds of bullets, one MT cartridge, two RAB uniform and other dacoiting tools.

Legal proceedings are underway against the arrestees.
