   DHAKA, Mar 9, 2025 (BSS) – The interim government has appointed Engineer Md Reazul Islam as chairman of the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) for the next two years.

   A public administration ministry statement said the appointment was made late yesterday under the Town Improvement Act, 1953 of its 4 (2) section.

   It said Reazul Islam would require leaving working relationship with any other profession, business or government, semi-government or private institutions or organizations under the contractual appointment.

   In a separate notification the ministry scrapped contractual appointment of Maj Gen (retd) Md Siddiqur Rahman Sarkar as RAJUK chairman.
