Traffic rule violations: 1,526 cases filed

DHAKA, March 11, 2024 (BSS) - The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan 
Police (DMP) has filed 1,526 cases against motor vehicles in the capital 
regarding traffic rule violations. 

A media release of the DMP today said that they filed those cases and 
realized the money on March 10 through their regular drives against the 
traffic rule breakers.

A total of 228 motor vehicles were dumped and 29 vehicles were wrecked due to 
poor driving practices, said Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner (Media and 
Public Relations Division) of the DMP.

"The drives will continue to ensure discipline on the city streets," the 
release said, adding that the DMP has been working to bring the traffic 
system under smooth in the capital for giving city dwellers easy movement.
