DHAKA, March 11, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today ordered to freeze four bank accounts with Taka 39.95 lakh and attach two Uttara flats of former Cumilla-6 lawmaker AKM Bahauddin and his wife Meherunnesa, over graft allegations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, allowing a petition of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Confirming the matter to BSS, ACC Deputy Director (public relations) Aktarul Islam said a case has already been filed against them for amassing illegal wealth of Taka 2.37 crore and keeping those under their possession.

"They are trying to hand over or transfer their movable and immovable properties and that is why those should be frozen or attached," the ACC plea said.
