Discussion on Jadu Miah held at Jatiya Press Club

DHAKA, March 11, 2025(BSS) - A discussion was held at Jatiya Press Club (JPC) auditorium here today marking the 46th death anniversary of Mashiur Rahman Jadu Miah, one of the founders of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

Death Anniversary Commemoration Committee of Jadu Miah organized the programme, said a press release of Bhasani Smrity Sangsad.

BNP Vice-Chairman Barkat Ullah Bulu was present as the chief guest while Bhashani Smrity Sangsad and Commemoration Committee president Ziaul Haque Milu presided over the event.

BNP vice chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu, BNP chairperson's advisory council member Abdus Salam, BNP executive committee member Takdir Hossain Md Jasim, Jadu Miah's daughter and general secretary of Bhashani Smrity Sangsad Nancy Rahman and Jadu Miah's son Tariqul Gani were present as special guests.

Jadu Miah's family members and admires will visit his grave on Manik Mia avenue in the capital around 10am tomorrow. 

The family members of Jadu Miah urged all to attend the Quran Khawani and doa-mahfil programme to be held there following the visit of his grave.

Mashiur Rahman, popularly known as Jadu Miah, died on March 12 in 1979.
