Mirza Abbas for objective journalism

DHAKA, March 11, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) National Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas today called upon journalists to maintain objectivity in presenting any news report.

“Journalists’ eyes are open, their sixth sense is always working. You should investigate and present the true picture of society maintaining objectivity,” he told a pre-Iftar event in a Gulshan hotel.

Amra BNP Paribar organized the iftar party in honour of journalists, photojournalists and video-journalists working in the media as a good number of newsmen working in BNP beat joined it.

BNP Standing Committee Members Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan and Selima Rahman, BNP Joint Secretary General Shahiduddin Chowdhury Annie, treasurer M Rashiduzzaman Millat, BNP Media Cell convener Professor Dr. Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel, Media Cell member and party's Local Government Affairs Assistant Secretary Shammi Akhter, Science and Technology Affairs Assistant Secretary Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul, Amra BNP Paribar advisers Md. Abul Kashem and Engineer Mostafa-e-Zaman Selim, PS to BNP Chairperson ABM Abdus Sattar, Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. AKM Shamsul Islam and Member Secretary of Amra BNP Paribar Agriculturist Moksedul Momin Mithun were present.

Manabzamin chief editor Matiur Rahman Chowdhury and editor Mahbuba Chowdhury were also present.

Amra BNP Paribar convener Atiqur Rahman Rumon chaired the event which was moderated by journalist Zahidul Islam Rony.
