Nanak's close aide snatched from police custody in city

DHAKA, March 12, 2025 (BSS) - Golam Mostofa, a close aide of the Awami League (AL) leader Jahangir Kabir Nanak, was snatched away from the custody of the police.
 
Mostofa was accused in multiple cases relating to July mass uprising.
 
Police sources said that Mohammadpur Thana police arrested Mostofa during a raid from Lalmatia around 11am today.
 
As the policemen attempted to handcuff the detainee, a group of people, including security guards, engaged in scuffle with police and snatched Mostofa away from the police, the sources said.
 
Efforts are on to capture Mostofa, police said.
