DHAKA, March 13, 2025 (BSS) - Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a fugitive accused of a sensational gang rape case from the Goatola area under Kolmakandah thana of Netrokona district in the early hours of today.

On a tip-off, a team of RAB personnel raided the area and arrested Shahidul Islam.

Earlier on February 17, he managed to flee when he was being taken to the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court of Dhaka.

Since then, he had remained absconding.
