Tk 3.8cr Indian fireworks seized in Cumilla

CUMILLA, March 14, 2025 (BSS) - Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB) seized Indian fireworks worth Tk 3.08 crore from Kabila Bazar area under Burichang upazila in the district. 

Cumilla Battalion (10 BGB) Captain Lt. Col A M Zahid Parvez confirmed the matter today.

He said that on the basis of information, a taskforce team comprising BGB and RAB seized around 14.15 lakh pieces of Indian fireworks from the area on Thursday night. 

The legal process is underway in this regard and the seized goods will be deposited at customs as per rules.
