Two drug peddler women held with 6-kg heroin in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, March 15, 2025 (BSS) - Police in an anti-crime drive arrested two 
alleged drug-peddler women with six kilograms of heroin from Godagari upazila 
of the district early this morning.
 
The arrested are Nazma Begum, 53, wife of Abul Kasem of the same area, and 
Tahmina Begum Minju, 55, wife of late Alam Sheikh hailed from Prithimpassa 
village under Kulaura upazila in Moulvibazar district, police sources said 
here this afternoon.
 
On a tip-off, a team of the police conducted a raid at Sultanganj Gangobari 
area of the upazila and arrested the duo and recovered six kilograms of 
heroin from their possession around 6 am, the sources added. 
 
A case was recorded with Godagari Police Station in this connection and the 
arrested persons with the seized contraband goods were sent to court this 
noon.
