DHAKA, March 17, 2025 (BSS) – A court here today imposed a travel ban on former health minister Zahid Maleque’s son Rahar Maleque and former deputy secretary of the National Parliament Secretariat Md Didarul Alam Chowdhury over graft allegations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the orders, allowing two separate pleas filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

Confirming the matter to BSS, ACC deputy director (public relations) Akterul Islam said the commission is probing allegations of amassing illegal wealth against the two accused and that is why it filed the pleas to impose travel ban on them.

Meanwhile, the same court today ordered to attach properties of the Wage Earners' Welfare Board (WEWB) assistant engineer Abu Shahdat Md Sharif and four bank accounts and six BO accounts of Sharif and his wife.
