DHAKA, April 13, 2025 (BSS) - A Dhaka court today ordered the freezing and attachment of all movable and immovable assets of Syed Sohanur Rahman Siam, son of former Public Service Commission (PSC) driver Syed Abed Ali.

Senior Special Judge of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order in response to a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

According to the ACC, Syed Abed Ali alias Jibon, a former PSC driver, had long been involved in leaking recruitment test questions. During his tenure, he allegedly amassed a substantial amount of wealth which is contrary to his known sources of income.

Deputy Director of the ACC's Public Relations Department, Aktarul Islam, disclosed the development to reporters at the ACC headquarters.

In its petition, the ACC told the court that Siam might attempt to transfer, hand over, or sell the assets in question. To prevent this, the Commission sought immediate freezing and attachment of the properties.
