Exceptional Baishakh celebrated with Bogura martyrs, disappearances families

DHAKA, April 14, 2025 (BSS) – An exceptional celebration of Pohela Baishakah, the first day of the new Bengali Calendar-1432, has been celebrated with the families of July Uprising martyrs and disappearances of Bogura region at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University here.

The "Jatiyatabadi Bogra Family" arranged the celebration of Pohela Baishakah, where Barrister Abu Sayem, Human Rights Adviser to BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman was present there.

Among others, Vice Chancellor of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Professor Abdul Latif, Adviser to "Amra BNP Paribar" Md Abul Kashem, president of the university’s Pro-BNP white panel teachers Professor Aminuzzaman Ripon, Students adviser Prof Ashabul Haque and Member Secretary of "Amra BNP Paribar" Agriculturalist Moksedul Momin Mithun were also present there.

Members of two families who were victims of disappearances during the deposed fascist Awami League era and martyrs of the July Uprising were present on the occasion.

The wife and daughter of Mohammad Kawsar, a member of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebok Dal, who went missing in 2013, and the father of Saikat, who was shot dead by police in Mohammadpur on July 19, 2024, were present.
