20 Bangladeshi youths returned home from Myanmar

CHATTOGRAM, April 15, 2025 (BSS) - Chattogram District Administration  today handed over 20 Bangladeshi nationals, incarcerated in Myanmar for the last few months, to their guardians.

They were handed over to their relatives through a ceremony at the local Circuit House  around 6 pm.

A ceremony was organized at Chattogram Circuit House to hand over them to their guardians.

“Following negotiations with relevant Myanmar authorities and verification of their identity, the Bangladesh Embassy in Myanmar received them from the jails and brought to the Chattogram port,” Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) of District Administration Kamruzzaman told BSS.

“We have handed them over to their respective guardians. Best wishes to those who have returned,” he added.  

 The Bangladeshis who returned home were Zubayed Hossain Jewel, Sarwar Kamal, Tarek Monowar, Nazim Uddin, Nur Mohammad, Md. Nazrul Islam, Md. Khokon, Md. Fahim, Md. Hashem, Md. Abdullah, Mansur Alam, Md. Mobarak, Rafiqul Islam, Azizur Rahman, Rabiul Alam, Mohammad Helal, Rafiqul Islam, Md. Faisal, Md. Sajjad and Md. Asad.
