DHAKA, April 16, 2025 (BSS) - The Detective Branch (DB) of police, north division, has arrested a suspected drug dealer with 20,000 yaba tablets in the capital's Jatrabari area.
The arrested person is identified as Tofail Ahmed Siddiqui, 35.
According to a source of DB, a team of BD personnel under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted a raid in front of Santoo Filling Station of the Jatrabari area around 11pm on Tuesday and arrested Tofail with a huge quantity of Yaba.
A case was filed against him with Jatrabari Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act.
During the preliminary interrogation, Tofail confessed that he is a professional drug dealer and he has been involved in drug trading for a long time.
