CUMILLA, May 14, 2025 (BSS) – Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today said they seized a huge quantity of smuggled mobile phone displays or screens from Burichang frontier of the district here estimating those of worth Taka 4.47 crore.

BGB-60 Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Md Ziaur Rahman told reporters that the paramilitary troops seized the displays in a predawn raid at Fakirbazar area adjacent to the Burichang border.

He said the screens were found in an abandoned state during the raid and subsequently handed the smart phone accessories over to Akhaura customs authority in Brahmanbaria in line with the law for subsequent procedures.
