DHAKA, May 19, 2025 (BSS) –The Italian embassy in Dhaka has said they are processing of family reunion visa applications for 2025 on priority basis.

The visa office is working continuously on family visas to manage such applications within the stipulated timeframes under applicable laws, it said.

In an official response to queries from applicants, the embassy affirmed that it is also addressing the 2024 backlog, applying chronological and thematic priority criteria, with particular attention to urgent cases involving minors and humanitarian situations.

The visa office is also prioritizing certain files due to judicial rulings and legal considerations, the embassy said.
 
Applicants have been advised to remain patient and await further updates through VFS Global, the designated visa service provider.

The embassy reiterated its commitment to ensure transparent and lawful processing of visa applications, in line with Italy's immigration regulations and international standards.
