DHAKA, May 19, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) called a meeting of the party's highest policy-making forum national standing committee at 8:30 pm today at the party chairperson's political office in Gulshan.

BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman will chair the meeting virtually, BNP media cell member Shyrul Kabir Khan said.

The agenda includes the ban on Awami League activities, subsequent political situation and the announcement of specific date for Jatiya Sangsad elections and problem created Ishraq Hossain, murder of Dhaka University Chhatra Dal leader Shahriar Alam Samya and imposition of new restrictions on the import of goods from Bangladesh by India, Indian Border Security Force (BSF)'s “push-in', success of BNP's countrywide youth rallies.
