CHATTOGRAM, May 23, 2025 (BSS)-Airport Immigration Police have arrested Chattogram North District Awami League leader Alhaj Gias Uddin at Dhaka Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport upon his return from America early today.

He was arrested at 5 am while travailing back from America with his wife in connection with a case filed at Mirsarai Police Station, police said.

Gias Uddin's wife, Tahmina Gias, said that they were returning home after an extended stay in America. After getting off the plane, Giash Uddin was arrested by immigration police. 

After informing Mirsarai Thana police, the police authorities escorted him to Chattogram.
