Prayer held at temple in Bagerhat for Khaleda Zia's recovery

BAGERHAT, Dec 8, 2025 (BSS) – A prayer meeting was held in Chitalmari upazila here today seeking the recovery of BNP Chairperson, former Prime Minister and stateswoman Begum Khaleda Zia.

The prayer was organised at 5 pm today at the Khadmkhali Harisava Temple under the initiative of the Bangladesh Hindu, Buddhist, Christian Welfare Front and the Puja Udjapan Front, Chitalmari Upazila branch.

The meeting was presided over by Upazila Hindu, Buddhist, Christian Welfare Front Convener Kashinath Bairagi and attended by Shimul Chandra Roy, member secretary of the Hindu, Buddhist, Christian Welfare Front in Bagerhat district; Anupam Saha, member secretary of the front; Sandeep Biswas, member secretary; Kaushik Bairagi, president of the Chitalmari Hindu Welfare Front; Khokon Mandal, president of the Harishava Temple Committee; Sukumar Ghatak and many others.

Special prayers were offered at the gathering, wishing Begum Khaleda Zia a speedy recovery and long life.
