DHAKA, May 23, 2025 (BSS) - As part of crime control in the city, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 26 people, including drug traffickers, snatchers and criminals from Mohammadpur area.

They were arrested in a special operation conducted in different areas under Mohammadpur Police Station yesterday (Thursday), Deputy Commissioner (DC) (Tejgaon Division) of DMP Md Ibne Mizan told BSS here today. 

He said the arrested were accused in different cases with various police stations of the DMP. 

The arrested are: Ali (39), Palash (27), Rakib (22), Srabon (27), Sharif (31), Shafin (20), Rabbi (19), Shahazada (32), Rubel (26), Rohit (22), Rubel Mehedi (20), Akash (20), Tajuddin (28), Javed (32), Salauddin (27), Rentu (32), Shakil (20), Shafiq (32), Anis (25), Roni (22), Sagar (19), Tojaful (35), Saddam (24), Aqib (22), Amen (32) and Tahmina (26).

The DC Tejgaon said that the arrestees have been sent to court.
