Dhaka South City AL member Tusi held in Narayanganj

    NARAYANGANJ, May 25, 2025 (BSS) - Police today arrested a member of Dhaka South City Awami League (AL) Rajoni Akhter Tusi from Kashipur area under Fatullah Thana of the district.

    Fatullah Model Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Shariful Islam confirmed the arrest saying that the local people detained Tusi, 38, also a former vice-president of Dhaka South City Chhatra League from a house belonging to one Rubel Mia at Fatullah and handed her over to police.

    Tusi, who is a resident of Sarulia area under Demra Police Station, has been living in the rented house at Fatullah for the last three months, he said.

    She is an accused of a case linked to the anti-discrimination student movement filed with Demra Police Station, said additional police super (crime and operation) Tareq Al Mehedi.

    Tusi was handed over to Demra Thana police.
