DHAKA, May 25, 2025 (BSS) - Police in a special crackdown on the criminals at different parts of Mohammadpur Thana in the capital on Saturday, apprehended 22 individuals along with country-made weapons and illegal drugs.

   The arrestees have been identified as Mohiuddin ,21, Asaduzzaman Rocky ,24, Arifur Rahman,23, Sumon alias Rag Kata Sumon,22, Hadis,21, Rob,27, Najma,27, Bappi,25, Rahim,20, Solaiman Saad,35, Halim,35, Sultan,50, Awlad,31, Kabir,24, Ashiq,32, Hamidul,21, Surya,24, Krishna,21, Shihab, 22, Apurba,22, Mohabbat,24, and Harun Or Rashid,48.

  Aimed at checking crimes in Mohammadpur Thana area, police conducted a special operation across Mohammadpur and arrested 22 people allegedly involved in various crimes on Saturday, said a police press release.

   During the operation, 500 grams of marijuana, 295 pieces of Yaba, a chapati, two mobile phones and Taka 19,500 in cash were seized from their possessions.
