BNP standing committee meeting held

DHAKA, June 17, 2025 (BSS) – A meeting of BNP National Standing Committee was held at the party’s Chairperson’s Gulshan office here on Monday night.

BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman virtually presided over the meeting from London. BNP standing committee members were present at the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, they discussed in detail the recent meeting held between Tarique Rahman and Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus in London.

In view of the fact that this historic meeting was held in a very fruitful and cordial atmosphere, the BNP standing committee thanked the party's acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

They said since the BNP acting chairman instilled confidence in the minds of all sections of the country by successfully holding the meeting and demonstrating his political wisdom and foresight.

The BNP leaders believe that in this much-anticipated meeting, Tarique Rahman successfully established the democratic aspirations of the country’s people and the need for early parliamentary elections.

The meeting between Prof Yunus and Tarique Rahman was held in London on June 13, 2025.
